Human Nature and Political Behaviour
Human Nature and Political Behaviour
The theory of evolution is the greatest single idea that humanity ever had, as it provides the most robust explanation of our presence on earth. Over the last century, the theory of Charles Darwin has been proven right by overwhelming and fascinating discoveries across numerous scientific fields, showing that evolution is not just "a theory”: it is the unifying meta-theory for all the life sciences, and the social sciences must be reconciled with its core principles. Through a proper understanding of human nature, an evolutionary approach to political behaviour opens novel insights into critical issues such as political polarization, violent extremism, terrorism or criminality, and it allows us to envision appropriate solutions for the great challenges of our century.
